International Conference on Global Environment,
Carbon Reduction and EcoDrive
As a Solution towards Sustainability
World Kick-off Paris Conference

World Association of Former United Nations Internes and Fellows (WAFUNIF) will host the International Conference on Global Environment, Carbon Reduction and EcoDrive Conference in Paris, France, on 4th December 2015.

Introduction

Following the outstanding success of 2014 International Conference on Global Environment, Carbon Reduction, and EcoDrive, a Second International Conference will be held on November 2016 with the aim of having discussion on EcoDrive Promotion Method and issuance of the EcoDrive Charter.

In order to set things in motion, we will be holding a mini conference globally.

For the year 2015, two Conferences,  one was held on the 20^th October 2015 in Nagoya Japan as a 10 year anniversary of Aichi World Expo, and another will be held on 4th December 2015 in Paris, France, at the same time as COP 21.

Concept

In order to make any reduction on CO₂ emission from the transportation sector, it is a necessity to have a “combined countermeasure” by the Government, Petroleum Companies, Automobile Manufacturers, and Automobile Users.

It is also important to follow up on subjects discussed during last year’s International Conference, especially regarding EcoDrive. More specifically, there is a need to review the importance of EcoDrive, as a better solution to the problem rather than having an excessive regulation on Automobiles such as the promotion of low emission vehicles by subsidies and tax reduction.
